In this mixed media painting, a 3rd dimension is created by the bird wire which is curled up right where the girls' face is staring at you.
This work is a unique culmination of the different styles and materials I had worked with that year.
Silicone, my all-time favorite material, combined with straight lines of acrylic paint on the base of an acrylic paint panel. Digital technique is resembled by squares and lines: the image of the girl (a photograph) is incomplete, with blocks (or pixels) missing. She seems to fade away in the raster of digital blocks.
Materials: bird wire, silicone, photo, acrylic paint, wooden panel
Dimensions: 30 x 40 cm
